Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Culver's Menu Guide ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit culvers-menu.us (the "Site"). It applies to every visitor, wherever you are.
We've written it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email contact@culvers-menu.us and we'll explain it.
1. Who we are
Culver's Menu Guide is an independent menu reference website. We publish menu listings, prices, calorie information, and ordering guidance. We are not affiliated with Culver Franchising System, LLC. We do not sell food, process orders, take payments, or operate customer accounts.
Data controller contact: contact@culvers-menu.us
2. Information you give us directly
The only way you can voluntarily give us information is through our contact form. When you use it, we receive your name, email address, subject line, and message.
We use that only to read and reply to you. We do not add it to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent it.
If you send us a price correction, we may use the information you provide (for example, "the ButterBurger Cheese is $5.29 at the Naperville store") to update our tables. We do not publish your name or email alongside it.
3. Information collected automatically
Our servers and third-party services record technical information when you load a page:
- IP address, which may be truncated or anonymized by some providers
- Browser type and version
- Operating system, device type, and screen size
- Referring URL — the search engine or page that sent you here
- Pages viewed, time on page, and scroll or click behavior
- Approximate location derived from IP address, usually at city or country level
- Date and time of visit
- Language and regional settings
This is used to keep the Site running, fix errors, understand which menu pages people actually use, and — through our advertising partners — serve relevant ads.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies. Full detail is on our Cookie Policy page, including categories, who sets them, and how to refuse or delete them.
In summary: strictly necessary storage for basic function and consent memory; preference storage for settings; analytics cookies for aggregate traffic understanding; and advertising cookies set by third-party ad vendors.
Where the law requires it, analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you consent through our cookie notice, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
5. Advertising
This Site is funded by display advertising. Third-party vendors serve ads on our pages.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings — https://adssettings.google.com
- Broader industry opt-outs are available at https://www.aboutads.info/choices and https://optout.networkadvertising.org
- Readers in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are presented with a consent choice before non-essential advertising cookies are set.
Opting out doesn't remove ads — it makes them less relevant to you.
Third-party ad vendors operate under their own privacy policies, which we don't control.
6. Analytics
We use analytics services to understand aggregate visitor behavior — which menu categories get the most traffic, which pages people leave quickly, where visitors arrive from. This tells us which tables to prioritize for updates.
Analytics data is used in aggregate. We don't build individual profiles and we don't try to identify individual readers.
7. Third-party services on this Site
Loading our pages may transfer technical information such as your IP address to:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that serve our pages
- Content delivery networks that serve our images
- Advertising networks, as described above
- Analytics providers, as described above
8. How we use information
- To display the Site correctly on your device
- To reply to contact form messages and process price corrections
- To understand which pages are useful and improve them
- To detect and prevent abuse, spam, scraping, and security incidents
- To serve and measure advertising, which funds the Site
- To comply with legal obligations
9. Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK)
- Consent — analytics and advertising cookies. Withdrawable at any time.
- Legitimate interests — site security, abuse prevention, aggregate performance measurement, and responding to enquiries you initiate.
- Legal obligation — where retention or disclosure is required by law.
More detail is on our GDPR Compliance page.
10. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We share information only:
- With service providers who host the Site, deliver assets, provide analytics, or serve advertising
- For legal reasons — where required by law, court order, or valid government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property
- In a business transfer — if the Site is sold, information may transfer as part of that transaction, and we'd update this page
11. Data retention
- Contact form messages: kept as long as needed to handle the enquiry, plus a short record-keeping period, then deleted
- Analytics data: retained in aggregate per our provider's retention settings
- Advertising data: retained by third-party vendors under their own policies
- Server logs: retained briefly for security and troubleshooting
12. Security
The Site runs over HTTPS and we use reputable infrastructure providers with their own security controls. No internet transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Please don't send sensitive personal information through our contact form — financial details, ID numbers, health information. We never ask for it, and there's no reason a menu site would need it.
13. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms offered by the relevant provider.
14. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port your personal data; to withdraw consent; and to complain to a supervisory authority.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don't sell personal information for money. However, using advertising cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising may count as "sharing" under California law — opt out via our cookie settings or the industry links in Section 5. We won't discriminate against you for exercising any right.
To exercise a right, email contact@culvers-menu.us. We may need to verify your identity, and we'll respond within the timeframe the law requires.
15. Children's privacy
This Site is intended for a general adult audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we'll delete it.
16. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browsers send "Do Not Track" signals inconsistently and there is no agreed standard for responding, so we don't currently respond to DNT headers. Where legally required, we honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing.
17. Links to other websites
We link to culvers.com, nutrition PDFs, store locators, and other external sites. Once you follow one of those links you're on a site we don't control, governed by its own privacy policy.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices, partners, or legal obligations change. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Material changes will be made prominent on the Site.
